Everyone knows Paul Rodriguez… and if you don’t, where have you been? His career spans three decades of making the world laugh while offering insights into political and social issues. Beginning as a stand-up comedian, his first big break came in 1983 with the sit-com “aka Pablo,” a television series created specifically for him. Paul went on to appear in countless television shows and specials including hosting “The Newlywed Game” and starring in episodes of “The Golden Girls,” “Touched by an Angel” and “King of the Hill” to name just a few. He has been just as prolific in film, featured in everything from “Born in East L.A.” and “Tortilla Soup” to “Rat Race” and “Ali.” He has also worn the hat of director in “A Million to Juan,” produced several shows such as “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy,” written for television as in “El Show de Paul Rodriguez” and even composed music for the television movie “It’s the Girl in the Red Truck, Charlie Brown.” Most recently, Paul voices Chico in “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” and Crazy Carlito in “Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.” In “Porndogs: The Adventures of Sadie” he plays Bato, a tiny, jittery Chihuahua that doesn’t have any sex whatsoever in the movie… not that he wouldn’t like to!
