Paul Ogata

Paul Ogata is NOT a porn star, however rumor has it that he’d like to be one. But he is a funny guy: not a bad asset for a comedian. In 2004 he competed in “The TakeOut Comedy Competition” held across America and was crowned the winner, officially becoming the funniest Asian-American Comedian in the U.S. Three years later he won the prestigious “32nd Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition.” He has appeared on “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” the television series “Live at Gotham” and “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen.” In film, he has starred in “Behind the Smile” directed by Damon Wayans and “Amasian: The Amazing Asian.” He also won a 1999 Hawaii Music Award for his song “Mental Oriental.” You can catch Paul all over the world performing as a stand-up comedian at such celebrated venues as the “Laugh Factory” in Hollywood, New York, and Honolulu, “The Ice House” in Pasadena, “The TakeOut Comedy Club” in Hong Kong, “The Punch Line Comedy Club” in San Francisco and “The Comedy Club @ DXO” in Singapore to name just a few. In “Porndogs: The Adventures of Sadie” Paul plays Master Dong, a Shar-pei who betrays the male Asian stereotype in a BIG way. Paul has two dogs, Coffee Bean and Nala, both of whom also aspire to be porn stars. But as Paul and his pack are quickly learning, it’s not an industry for everyone!
